In Tanzania, all land is public property, managed on behalf of citizens by the president. The Ownership is through a leasehold system, where you can be granted the right to use the land for a specified period typically ranging from 33 to 99 years.
There are three (3) categories of land in Tanzania i.e General Land, Village Land, and Reserved Land. And each category has different regulations and management systems.
